Mac menu-bar utility

For people who screenshot first and figure it out later.

Screenshot in.
Action out.

Press ⌘⇧O to screenshot anything — a meeting invite, a Slack thread, an error message. Outshot reads the image, extracts the action, and routes it to Calendar, Reminders, Linear, Notion, or Todoist. You just confirm.

Your screenshots stay on your Mac.

OCR runs on-device via Apple Vision — your screenshot never leaves your Mac. Only extracted text and your typed intent are sent for parsing. Destination uploads (e.g., attaching an image in Notion) only happen after you confirm.

faq
Do my screenshots leave my Mac?
No. OCR runs on-device using Apple Vision — your screenshot stays on your Mac. Only the extracted text is sent to the LLM for routing. The one case where the image itself leaves your Mac is when a destination needs an attachment (e.g. attaching a file in Notion) — Outshot always tells you before that happens, and never without your explicit confirm.
What if the parser gets it wrong?
Outshot always shows you a preview before sending anything. You can edit any field directly, or press Esc to cancel. Nothing leaves your machine until you confirm.
Which AI model does it use?
GPT-4o mini (OpenAI). Only the OCR-extracted text is sent — no screenshot images. OpenAI's API operates under a data opt-out policy: data sent via the API is not used to train models.
What Mac do I need?
macOS 14 or later. Apple Silicon or Intel. Direct DMG download — no Mac App Store required.
Does it work without an internet connection?
OCR is fully offline. Intent parsing needs a network connection — if you're offline, Outshot will tell you and let you retry once you reconnect.
One license for multiple Macs?
Yes. Pro covers up to 3 Macs on the same Apple ID.
Refund policy?
30-day money-back if Pro doesn't earn its keep. Reply to the receipt email — no questions asked.
When does it ship?
Pre-launch now. Waitlist gets early access before we open to the public.
